[Case Study] Early Detection of Filter Replacement Using Dust Monitors

Install a dust monitor and monitor dust concentration in real-time! Predict the appropriate threshold for exhaust leaks!

There was a challenge of wanting to eliminate the risk of dust leakage from the dust collector's exhaust. In response, we calculated the predicted values during exhaust leakage by comparing exhaust concentration measurement values with relative values from the dust monitor. We implemented concentration display using a touch panel and recorded and saved the data obtained from the dust monitor. As a result, we were able to achieve alarm output segmentation through sequencer control and enable external transfer and recording of the obtained data, leading to a reduction in the risk of dust collector exhaust leakage. 【Case Study】 <Problems> ■ Complaints from nearby residents due to exhaust leakage from the outdoor dust collector ■ Desire to detect signs of dust collector exhaust leakage in advance <Benefits> ■ Reduction of dust collector exhaust leakage risk ■ Possible segmentation of alarm output through sequencer control ■ Possible external transfer and recording of obtained data *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

PM2.5 Remote Dust Monitor

The ES-642 remote dust monitor is designed to accurately measure particle concentration (PM2.5) both indoors and outdoors.

The ES-642 remote dust monitor is an industrial air quality sensor designed to accurately measure particle concentration in both indoor and outdoor environments. The unit is housed in a waterproof case. The LCD display shows particle concentration, flow rate, equipment status, and power information. The electrical and optical systems prevent condensation through a built-in heater that controls humidity, with the heater power adjusted to maintain minimal humidity. The ES-642 employs a high-sensitivity forward-scattering laser nephelometer with a measurement range of 0 to 100 mg/m³ or 0 to 100,000 μg/m³ for particle concentration. An optional sharp-cut cyclone is used to set measurement levels. By adding the sharp-cut cyclone, particles smaller than PM10 or those smaller than PM2.5 and PM1.0 can be set, providing monitoring for TSP (Total Suspended Particles).

[Case Study] Monitoring to Prevent Raw Material Loss in Secondary Battery Manufacturing Process

Reduce raw material loss in the manufacturing process of secondary battery cathode materials! Just focus on the secondary side of the dust collector!

In the manufacturing process of secondary batteries, dust collectors are installed due to the handling of powders, and materials that leak during work are collected. If the dust collector is functioning properly, collection can be ensured without major issues. However, if the filter deteriorates or wears out, a large amount of material can leak from the tears. This results in the inability to recover expensive materials, leading to significant losses. So, what measures can be taken? A dust monitor is installed on the secondary side of the dust collector (the atmospheric discharge side) to quickly detect raw materials leaking from deteriorated or worn filters, minimizing damage.

[Case Study] Dust Monitoring at Outdoor Air Intake of Data Center

Protecting IT equipment from external dust monitoring!

A data center is a dedicated facility for the centralized management and operation of a company's IT equipment and systems. In this case, we will introduce an example of the implementation of an air dust monitor for dust monitoring at the outdoor air intake of a data center. <Background of Implementation> Data centers require vast areas of land, and as a result, they are often built in suburban areas away from urban centers. In these suburbs, open burning may occur for agricultural management, and dust generation due to volcanic eruptions is anticipated. As a result, dust may be generated and could potentially enter the facility through the outdoor air intake of the data center. Such dust intrusion could negatively impact IT equipment, making it necessary to implement measures to prevent dust from entering the facility.

[Case Study] Safety Measures in Thermal Spray Booths Using Dust Measurement Devices

Dust control measures for the thermal spray booth! What is the key to protecting the health of workers?

After performing thermal spraying in an unmanned booth, there is a need to determine whether personnel can enter based on the dust concentration. Here, we introduce a case where safety measures were implemented using a dust measurement device, the Air Dust Monitor. <Challenges Before Implementation> 1) The decision on whether to allow entry is made individually, and it is possible to enter even during dust generation, raising concerns about potential health hazards. 2) Entering the booth during film formation can disrupt the uniformity of the film thickness due to the inflow of air, which may lead to quality defects. Therefore, we propose the Air Dust Monitor, which can monitor the dust conditions in the booth!! For more details, please refer to the related link URL.

HD-1100 Real-Time Dust Monitor

Respiratory monitoring using the latest infrared technology. Protecting the respiratory health of workers engaged in industry.

We use the latest infrared technology to provide accurate and instantaneous data on suspended particulate matter concentrations in accordance with NIOSH Standard 0600, which pertains to respiratory zone particles harmful to the lungs. This saves costs by eliminating the need for expensive air sampling weight measurements and the associated delays in research analysis. By continuously monitoring harmful particulate matter in the lungs, we can protect the respiratory health of workers engaged in industry and reduce potential liabilities. Additionally, we can also reduce the costs associated with atmospheric monitoring program regulations.
